It appears from the notice, dated January 4th, that went to many organizations and the media today that the second meeting will be "to discuss a revised school construction proposal for the Millburn High School and Middle School."

Below is a public statement that the Superintendent of Schools made about the defeated Bond Referendum and his new plan.

"The voters of Millburn have spoken and we must respect the decision of the majority. We now have an obligation to move forward as one community. It is very important that whatever position one supported in the past, we put aside any hurt and anger and replace it with a pledge to unite this wonderful community around values of respect, responsibility and caring. Over the next several days, I plan to work closely with our school administrators on a new revised plan. The plan, which will be far more modest than the original, must gain the support of the entire Board of Education before it can be presented to the public. I am hopeful that the Board can unite behind a plan and recommend another vote as soon as possible. With the holiday season here, may I extend my very best wishes to you and your loved ones. Let the new year be a good one for all."

Dr. Richard Brodow
Superintendent of Schools
