The Millburn Township Committee meeting on Tuesday evening January 3, 2006 opened to a packed house. Attending were many interested citizens but also many local and regional political figures.

After James F. Suell and Ellen Steiberg were sworn in as new Committee Members, the election for Mayor took place. The public vote among the 5 committee members had one year member Dan Baer replacing five year Mayor Tom McDermott.

Then newcomer James Suell was voted in as Deputy Mayor/Vice Chairperson. After that, there were a host of Mayoral appointments and Township Committee appointments.
