New Millburn Organization Keeps Residents Informed and Involved

MILLBURN, NJ — May 17, 2006 — A number of critical issues faced Millburn/Short Hills in 2005 and again this year in 2006.

WeLoveMillburn officially launched in May of 2005 to give all residents access to the information and dialogue opportunities they need.

“Our mission is and has been to keep the Millburn community informed on the critical issues affecting the future of our town. Any resident in the town can get on our newsletter distribution list by simply visiting www.WeLoveMillburn.com” declared David Dwyer, who originally founded the organization. Now there are 35 residents who are actively leading the organization.

WeLoveMillburn.com launched their website in June of 2005 to provide the community with regular updates so that all constituents can make an informed decision on numerous issues that will dramatically affect the future of the educational system, town government, the local business district, and property taxes.

Chairman Mike Becker states, "The website encourages everyone, regardless of their political leanings, to be informed and to vote. The website is a valuable source of information relevant to the community. Overall, we advocate more complete and thoughtful analytics in public and educational policy. We reported on unnecessary school spending, the current Short Hills Mall tax situation, deer management, the beginning of the downtown redevelopment plan and our highest-in-the-State property tax burden."

WeLoveMillburn has members of all ages and stages in life from all parts of our community within Millburn/Short Hills. We are residents made up of men and
women, from all political parties and from many diverse backgrounds.

Currently, WeLoveMillburn has many involved residents as officers, board members, advisors and over 2,000 interested residents receiving our township newsletter.

To keep abreast of what's going on in your town regarding issues and opportunities, visit our website at www.WeLoveMillburn.com. To sign up for our email newsletter, email: info@WeLoveMillburn.com.
